I went down the wrong skill tree branch and missed out on a magic defense upgrade I needed, so then had to get a new daughter ;_;. Pretty cool job getting the stat balancing right for this type of game!
It was a literal balancing act, make new enemies too strong to beat the stages with current set up, add upgrades that allowed you to beat them, then again for the bosses
Okay I'm a monkey with a computer. Thus it took me a few bananas and a few minutes staring at the animation on the itch page to figure out the head pats. With the term "head pats" I expected clicks, so here I am power clicking wondering why she won't wake up. Hate to ask but could us monkeys get a little in-game instruction on how to rub the fox girl? {Click, hodl, and hastily run circles on her face.} Overall enjoyed very potential much head pats.
im still trying to figure out how to do it, so far the only idea ive had is a mouse icon moving in a circle around her head (that vanishes with the title fade out)
cute little incremental. Good story so far, love to see more.
could you make the farm run (beaten levels) so it will grow each wave more till we get overwhelmed or mobs getting stronger every X-ed wave (more life/more dmg = better rewards).
most importent: adjustable sound please.

why does the prestige (devote) tree reset?
headpats sometimes don't seem to register idk if i pat to fast/slow, i see hearts but health doesn't go up.
the prestige tree resets because you might want to buy other things early on, also my prestige system works by deleting the save file to set the stats back to what they were at the start, if i didnt do this with the prestige tree too, youd still have the stats from the prestige purchases when buying different ones
the farm run thing might be possible but the spawner is currently limited by floor number
adjustable sound is definitely coming as well as for bgm
the hearts on the headpats trigger more often than the ticks for healing, but the bounding box also moves when she does the wake up animation which can mess with it a little
i tried adding scaling to the farm runs but it honestly makes everything less chill
it took me 4 hours to get from a fresh save to the 4th boss which was kinda boring, so ive doubled the amount of funds the prestige upgrades give you and added a money multiplier upgrade early in the skill tree to speed things up
Also, just fyi, when you reset to devote levels after using the boss token for the first time, the boss doesn't drop the token anymore and locks the skill tree forever.

i added the volume sliders yesterday, i just cant add it to the demo because itd involve reblocking off what comes after

Can we make the headpatting skippable?
no, but you can upgrade how much you heal per pat to make it quicker, no doubt it will eventually be less than a second

just ran the demo and died, do you mean the buttons arent there? they dont come back til you headpat her awake

fixed, redownload the demo
you can now reach floor 6 after water purification
prestige now properly erases the list of bosses youve already beaten
and i had the warp stone upgrade give you the boss drops you had + one per boss in the list before it gets erased
fixed again, somehow managed to write the wrong ds_list to clear so prestiging crashed
Without trying to spoil it for others, is floor 5 the end of the demo, or am I missing something I'm supposed to do?
its supposed to be floor 10, but i did add a floor 5 cutscene using the same code as the floor 10 one so maybe thats the issue
